The course is just a few miles from the market town of Huntingdon. The course is a right-handed course that is oval shaped with some tricky jumps along the way. Due to its layout it is looked upon as an ideal trial ground for horses that are attending the Christmas meeting at Kempton..
The course is home to 19 horse racing meetings per year with principal races being the Juvenile Novices' Hurdle in February and the Veterans' Handicap Chase which is in November. Another race to look out for is the Peterborough Chase Day in December which attracts the leading two and three mile chasers.
